Ever feel like throwing caution to the wind? Doing something that seems kinda crazy or out of character? Well, in my world it’s called the “F it moment.” In kinder terms, it just means going for it. Now, I don’t mean being reckless like, playing dodgeball on the freeway. No, what I mean is realizing you have nothing to be afraid of and it’s okay to look further into what is calling you. A lifelong friend of mine turned fifty a couple of months before me and coined the phrase “F it 50.” She decided, since turning fifty, that there is no time to lose and “F it 50” was born! I’ve known her for 41 years now.

She moved next door to me when I was nine years old and she’s been the jelly to my peanut butter, the peas to my carrots, ever since. She is definitely the sister to my soul! Love you girl!

If there is something that has been twirling around in your head and you can’t seem to shake it, whatever that is, it needs some attention. To me, it means my soul is calling me to act or at least to listen. I’ll use myself as an example.

I went to college for something completely different than being a blogger. It’s something I truly felt called to do. I knew I wanted to help people. But I also knew there was something missing. A big hole. That hole grew so big I could no longer ignore it. The missing piece, the hole, the void, I came to realize, was PASSION!

It compelled me to think beyond my chosen occupation and know I was called to do something bigger. I knew my soul’s calling was to help people and what I went to school for was a good start. But I needed to do it on a larger scale. So, my “F it moment,” was bidding farewell to my college education and following my passion of sharing my life’s experience and the wisdom that followed with the world. That’s what I’m talking about! Not ignoring that voice in your head! Your intuition, your inner guidance, that serves to guide your soul to its purpose.

Now, I know we all have people and obligations we are responsible for and I’m not suggesting ditching all your responsibilities. But, I would like to encourage you to go somewhere quiet and listen to what your soul has to say. You might be surprised by what you hear!

Please take a chance and share your “F it moment” with the world to inspire others to do so too.

Be well friends!
